Lazzzzy Summer Days...

Hey you guys I have been one lazzzy girl when it comes to doing my blog...LOL..I still haven't figured out the best way to do my pictures on here and I can't seem to get in the mood to try harder...LOL... But, I think it's the heat..It's going to my head...LOL..Oh to be in the rocky mountains right now where it's green, cooler and not HUMID!!!!  When it gets this hot I don't even want to cook, the thought of making my kitchen hot just makes me lose my appetite...On top of everything else I've lost 5 pounds, cuz I don't want to cook...Which I might add is the only good thing of the summer heat...   It got to 104 here on tuesday and I staying indoors all day with my blinds shut...I'd say i'm a little depressed and need to get out of this funk, so I decided to write this blog to kickstart things...LOL...  And I cleaned my house from top to bottom today, and I am promising myself that I WILL NOT stay up late to read a book...which will be very hard to do...  I have insomia, but tonight I plan on going to bed by at least 11 and getting up tomorrow by 7 instead of 10 like I did today....It wasted my whole day....  

I've never been depressed in the summer before, but I think this year I am, so to get my mind of f of it I would like to introduce you to my two beautiful daughters....

This is my oldest Tasha, she will be 20 in september and she is the heart of my heart...Last night she called from church camp (where she is working as counselor this year) and told me that she was sorry for all the things she had done to disappoint  me and that she loved me more than anything...Needless to say, I cried...She has been soul searching for the past 2 years since she graduated high school and hasn't been able to find herself yet...She's a good girl and not wild like so many her age, and for that I am thankful; however, I want her to be happy and she just doesn't seem to be....So I am thrilled!!!!  She's going to OSU this fall and moving out of the nest...OMGOSH...I am so scared for her but at the same time so excited for new life that is fixing to begin....Okay so now I have to move on or I'm going to be a mess...

This is my baby Chelsea or you might call her my wild child...LOL..she's 17 and no she's not wild, she just LOVE'S Life...Next year she will be a senior in high school and we have been looking at colleges for her to go to....What can I say about her, well, she makes my life so much better...She wants somuch out of life, she wants to go places, do things, travel, have a big house, have dogs...I could go on and on, I guess you could say little miss chelsea is ambitious and full of energy...and she is honest to a fault...she will tell you exactly what she thinks...I have always thought she would make a good lawyer or actress...LOL...she tells me that as soon as she's 18 she's moving out and it breaks my heart, but I know she'll be ready...  that's in june of next year, and she already has roommates...

I cannot even think about where the time has gone with my girls. It seems like yesterday that I was carpooling and taking them to this game or that practice..now there all grown up and I guess i'm feeling a little bit blue about it...I just hope that I have given them the right tools to face life head on...I'm always going to think of them as my babies in pigtails...LOL...no matter how old they are...

Okay..sniff sniff sniff...I'm pathetic I know, tomorrow is a new day and I plan on it being a better one than today...

Hot Summer Days = Cool Thoughts....

Ladies and Gentlemen it reached 100 degrees in OKC at noon today...I needed something to look at to take my mind off this awful heat....thus I found some pictures that help cool me a little bit...

I love my Cowboy Boots...

Hey Guys, so I wanted to share a little bit of what I love...I am a Cowgirl At Heart!!! Always have been... This pic above would be so perfect for me..I love the open range...There's nothing like it...Right now, we are in the process of looking for some land...I hope at least we can find 75 acres to build our final home on...I live in a subdivision right now and I absolutely HATE IT!!!! I want to live in the open....I would like a few more trees but in Oklahoma theres not a whole lot here...It's real FLAT....LOL..

This is my future...I do love decorating, but I want to raise horses....They are such smart and wonderful creatures....

LOL...This is my dream...I'm not getting any younger...
and the horse troth would be the perfect place for a cooling off...This girl has the right idea... :)

Well, As you can see I love the country and everything about it....The past few days I went to dallas and went shopping...I spent most of my money on a pair of "Old Gringo Cowboy Boots"..LOL...Yes that's right I wear cowboy boots about every day...But I do have belts that have a little Bling Bling on them...To dress up my outfits... :) Being a country girl is what I've always been...Some people think we're are hicks, but we're not!!! We are just laid back hardworking women that love the simple life...I say don't wait til your 40 to get your dream home...do it as soon as you can... life is short and you should enjoy it.... Decorating with sense...

This is my husband's space...We both love western decor, so we this room is done in all rustic western decor...I have a picture of Sitting Bull on the mantel, along with an old Sombrero..I just purchased the armoire here in OKC....and to top it off I have a rawhide rug that is too cool.. :)

Here's another shot of the room...I have an old carriage wheel with a steam trunk behind the couch...I love old stuff...

There is something about antique and nostalgic decor that adds a certain something to a room...I think adding old stuff with new is homey....Realistically, everyone always mixes family heirlooms with their decor....or their is a budget....These days with the price of gas, not everyone can afford to just go out and buy expensive things...I think if its not on sale or not at an estate sale, then it's not for me....LOL.....Thus, You now see why I decorate the way I do....And why we can all relate on RMS...I love getting new ideas from the ladies and gents on RMS, but I hate the rude comments...I think you can give advice without being mean....I don't understand some of the ratings that people get either...They are just way to low...People can be so mean and jealous of a person's talent...But here I go I can't seem to shut up....I love blogging...It's fun and I can talk to nice people and relate to them through their blogs...Well...I'm gonna sign off now and say that I can't wait for tomorrow to create something new... Hi guys, I just wanted to share with ya'll what I do every day...LOL...I decorate model homes...and I have to decorate simple and with color..I can't paint the walls...they are all taupe...Kind of boring I know, but they seem to sell because they are neutral...LOL..I love mixing old things in with new things...The house range from 1200 to 1800 square feet, so I have to buy small scale pieces...

Okay so today was so awwwwful!!! Just to give you a little feedback on me...My husband builds homes in OKC and decorate and stage them... Well today was a disaster.. :( It started out with a furniture delivery in a sales office, which went off smooth...however, while I was waiting on the delivery, I found out that our guys were moving one of my models...Without telling me!!! AARRGGGHHH...The guys do not appreciate that everything in a model home takes money, time and sweat... Well to put it short..I got to the new model and it was a total mess...They were not supervised, therefore, they just put stuff wherever they wanted...Unorganized and messy...They had also wadded all of my bedding and draperies(curtains) in balls and thrown it on the floor... Needless to say I had a meltdown...LOL.. I just sat in the floor and cried... I have never been so frusturated...

Okay I have vented now!!! LOL... I got it done and I am worn out.. Had to sew some cafe curtains for another model and I'm finally getting to sit and relax... So I think I'm going to go read some blogs and see maybe find something that will make my day a little bit better... :)

Okay all...All I can say is thanks for the great blogs...I have laughed and laughed and I feel so much better...
